Farming is the back-borne of our nation Uganda, and an economic booster in many countries of the world, it is the main economic activity in Jinja Agriculture also plays an important part in rural development, especially due to land use.
Our community is occupied mostly by peasant farmers who live from hand to mouth. This means poverty is still at a very high rate.
Kabebe Charity Foundation is providing hybrid seeds that take short period of time to be ready for consumption to local farmers. We believe by doing this we are able to improve the standard of living in Nakabango Community.
In addition to all the charity work, we have set up a couple of average sized gardens in order to diversify the source of our support. Fresh vegetable gardens have been set up in the village of Nakabango where the locals are being sensitized on the good methods of farming. These gardens act as demonstration sites for the vegetables and at the end of the demonstration, the vegetables are sold off for money to support couple of our programs, if not all of them
